About Me

I’m Catherine Abshire, an experienced executive coach, certified counselor, and founder of Sound Leadership Consulting, with over 30 years of experience leading and developing professionals in healthcare, education, government, and nonprofit settings. I’ve served in supervisory and director-level roles—managing teams, mentoring staff, and helping organizations strengthen leadership from within.

Throughout my career, I’ve coached individuals at every level, guided departments through transitions, and helped struggling employees reach higher performance with the right support. My work consistently improves communication, builds team trust, reduces conflict, and aligns staff with the organization’s goals.

I launched Sound Leadership to provide practical, relationship-driven coaching that empowers supervisors to lead with clarity, empathy, and confidence—so they can grow professionally while building stronger, more effective teams.
